Datamuse

Datamuse is a collection of websites, mobile apps, and APIs designed to help people create and communicate more effectively. We aim to organize knowledge in ways that inspire, inform, and delight people, making everyone who uses our services a more effective writer, researcher, and learner.

OneLook is the Web's premier search engine for English words, indexing 10 million unique words and phrases in more than 1000 dictionaries and glossaries. More than a million unique users visit OneLook every month.

OneLook Thesaurus is a Web-based thesaurus, reverse dictionary, and knowledge discovery tool that is available now in English and Spanish, with more languages to come. Its Google Docs add-on and iOS/Mac apps offer other ways to access the same information. Spruce is an experimental add-on that helps you find ideas as you write.

RhymeZone is the premier tool for creative writers of all kinds, combining the features of a rhyming dictionary and a thesaurus. It serves several million writers every month through the website and its iOS and Android mobile apps. Rimar.io is its Spanish-language sibling.

The Datamuse API is a lexical search service for developers. It's answering ... queries per second right now from hundreds of educational applications, search tools, and word games. (We're continually making and testing our own word games, too. We can't list them here, so you'll have to take our word for it.)

Finally, CivicSearch is a new search engine that journalists, researchers, and citizens use to stay informed about cities and towns. It continually scans and analyzes online local government meetings in more than 650 places across the US and Canada.
